#Germany is not letting them go

You should know that there is a sense of peace, love and community fun waving through Germany during the European Soccer Championship right now that I don't think I have seen before in my lifetime

Germany and Scotland have fallen in love with each other. Germans think the Scots are super cute. Like an elephant finds a human cute cute. Germany has adopted Scotland. They're offering to make them the 17th state of Germany so they can be in the EU again, even giving the island of Mallorca back to Spain in return (which is a huge deal if you know what I'm talking about) lol (!it's a running gag! chillax)

No but in all earnestness, when the German soccer team is good (which it seems like again, after two very bad seasons), we get what we call a "summer fairytale" - our grudgy, grey, square and proper country loosening up a bit and finding common joy in the soccer championship. It's pretty much the only thing we get to be innocently proud of after you-know-what. It's the only place where we get to wave our flag and display a teeny-tiny bit of open emotion and a teeny-tiny bit of national pride. All other days, it's this constant pressure to be humble, to be hard-working, to be rational, to second-guess our every thought because. You-know what. Well, we do carry the generational memory. Which is okay. It's important. But this means that soccer as a positive emotional release is massive for us.

So yeah, just wanted to report on overall good vibes and chill over here in Germany

And before this post gets hijacked for any political agenda, I am also pleased to report that my town has started to plant so, soooo many wildflower meadows. Bees are returning. Butterflies are returning. Ants are returning. Snails are returning. It's nowhere near the amount of bugs that I had been used to as a child, but it's looking hopeful!!! Especially within the very short amount of time of one (1) summer!!!

There is so much good in the world despite all that's going on

Ended up outlining a completely different fic as a Segway for an explanation instead of making progress on the Royal Flush Haunted Honk AU's Clown Motel Fic like I wanted to but uh....

For y'all's review for the AU: A Prequel Outline - Divorce Saga Domon

Hey real quick - I'm thinking of maybe changing the timeline to 2 years post canon as opposed to 3 years and change post canon.

The reason being: I had a thought that this scene could either be part if the fic or if it's getting to big then it could be a stand alone tie-in prequel fic as part of this AU but - like

Immediately Post Divorce Domon Needs Space and runs off. As one does. And he runs to Earth because he just wants to Get Lost for a while.

He has Argo smuggle him out to avoid detection.

Argo has Andrew help stow Domon in a storage hanger of a Neo Canadian supply ship that's returning to the US - they have trade often enough and share agricultural resources - which leads to Domon ending up in New York when he hits Earthside pavement.

He's privately worked on his English the last couple of months and after being dropped in New York with a different hairstyle, outfit, and accent he's unrecognizable. 

He considers making his way west to get some solitude in the wilderness, but something about that initial plan feels off now that he's on the ground.

Chibodee is also Earthside for a special series of prize fights aimed at raising charitable appeal for the US in the eyes of Neo Americans.

Domon decides to hit up Chibodee for a fight on a day between matches hoping it'll clear his head and give him the clarity to decide on a course of action. What ends up happening is an unexpected heart to heart via blows and a breakdown.

Domon is happy for Rain and Kyoji, and he knows it's not true; but he feels like he lost a piece of himself when his relationship with Rain fell apart.

Domon's instinct is to run after that but Chibodee knows this city and Domon doesn't hide out for long before Chibodee drags him back to his place to stay and just "Chill out and breathe. You don't have to be anyone but yourself here. You can take as long as you need to find out what everything changing means for you." Friends and teammates stick together.

So Domon spends a few weeks with Chibodee sparring and hanging out in New York. Chibodee does a frankly awesome job at containing his feelings because he's focusing on Domons feelings and being a good friend first and foremost. Whatever he's feeling can wait until after Domon is done going though it.

There's a bit of a twinge in Domon's heart as he leaves that he can't really place.

After he returns to Neo Japan and gets settled back into life with his family, The Dreams start.

They're mainly set in New York. Small things first like noticing Chibodee's smile and his eyes. Then sparring sessions that begin to turn lurid.

He thought these kinds of dreams would stop after he was married.... he doesn't know what to do about this.

I just figure it gives more clarity and sense of time for the journey from Comphet Marriage Dissolution to Feelings to Confession. Idk.

But I got stuck on a bit and then had this thought and needed to get it down before I lost it and it was so long it made sense to make it its own post as opposed to several replies.

The Maize and Clown Motel will probably still be 3 years and change post canon for clarification.

Do you ever think about how Fakir, after him and Ahiru finally broke everything that kept the town of Goldkröne in the ghostly hands of its writer, after they finally have some air of peace over the town finally being able to live in its intended early 2000s environment, that Fakir still feels at times like it's not real and that for a while he fears that if he closes his eyes it'll be back in Drosselmeyer's control. Like it just doesn't feel real to him during that first year of calm, until he feels the dull pain on his recovering hand injury and Ahiru who follows him without a pendant anywhere to be found.

He doesn't feel it's real, the calm finality of this town, but he makes sure to feel the scar on his hand. And he makes sure to hold the little duck and realize that she is who she has always been. Him and the town are finally living peacefully.

Daaamn, I thought y'all would be as broke as me but when I finally decided to treat myself and try to buy some fancy tickets for Purcon, there was only single day tickets left for Sunday

I used to rarely get any (noticeable) PMS symptoms and now I'm in my mid twenties and like a week before my period, I start just having suuuper low energy no matter how much sleep I get or how well I eat, my ADHD meds lose at least 50% of their effectiveness and worst of all, I randomly feel super nauseous and sometimes do actually throw up. I do not! Like this!

Today's my first day on my period and I'm in pain, but wow suddenly I have energy again? I am motivated to clean my room? My meds kicked in? Wtf

Anyway I refuse to do this for the next 20 or so years, so I should probably bite the bullet and get to a gynecologist and talk about birth control pills (and then potentially eventually implants and such). Though me being enby complicates that bc I absolutely do not want more estrogen in my body - there's options without it but... Yeah.

I don't actually have a gynecologist. I know I should have one, and get regular checkups even when I'm not having sex but like.... The combo of being ace and enby and uncomfortable with the idea of all that plus the adhd making making phone calls hard.... Yeah.
